Minister of Energy of Ukraine Svitlana Grynchuk spoke live on the United News telethon about the current situation in the country’s power system.

According to her, as a result of the massive Russian attack on the night of October 22, energy companies have been forced to apply hourly power outage schedules in 12 regions of Ukraine. On October 23, restrictions will remain in place from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Energy workers have restored power supply to the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, bringing it out of a complete blackout - the tenth since the start of the full-scale invasion. The plant had remained without external power for an entire month. This was announced by Ukrainian Minister of Energy Svitlana Grynchuk on her Facebook page.

Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Roman Andarak, held a meeting with representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to discuss the continuation of cooperation under the technical assistance project aimed at supporting Ukraine's energy sector.

The discussion focused on the current state of the energy system, existing mechanisms for supporting the population, and the development of a roadmap for further implementation.

Ukraine’s energy system remains stable and under control despite daily Russian attacks on critical infrastructure. At the same time, large-scale restoration efforts are ongoing in the affected regions.
