First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal held an online meeting with Germany’s Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, Katherina Reiche.

The Government has amended the conditions for the second stage of the competitive tender for the construction of new generation capacity in Ukraine. In particular, it increased the total capacity to be offered through the tender from 1,322 MW to 1,505 MW.

- As a result of hostilities and attacks on energy infrastructure, a number of consumers in Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, -Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv regions remain temporarily without electricity supply.

From January to mid-June 2026, 17 healthcare facilities launched their own electricity generation under the Ray of Hope project. The total installed capacity of commissioned solar power plants amounts to 1,650 kW.

- During the night, the enemy carried out another large-scale combined attack against Ukraine. As a result of strikes on energy infrastructure, a number of consumers in the city of Kyiv, as well as Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Sumy and Kharkiv regions, remain temporarily without electricity supply.

Norway has announced an additional contribution of NOK 100 million (approximately USD 10 million) to support the restoration of the New Safe Confinement at the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant, which was damaged as a result of a Russian drone attack.
