The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a draft law introducing amendments to the National Programme for the Decommissioning of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant and the Transformation of the Shelter Object into an Environmentally Safe System.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has expanded the scope of the pilot project on the implementation of regional resilience plans to include critical infrastructure operators. This was announced by First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Energy of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a decision that will allow more than UAH 880 million in grant funding to be allocated this year for the deployment of modern STATCOM (Static Synchronous Compensator) systems and the construction of physical protection measures for these facilities.

- As a result of ongoing hostilities and attacks targeting energy infrastructure, some consumers in the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Sumy, Kherson, and Kharkiv regions remain temporarily without electricity supply.

At the initiative of the Ministry of Energy, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a protocol decision authorising JSC NNEGC Energoatom to provide State Enterprise Eastern Mining and Processing Plant (SkhidGZK) with repayable financial assistance of UAH 555 million.

During a working visit to Mykolaiv region, First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Energy of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal held a meeting with the regional military administration and heads of energy companies to discuss preparations for the upcoming autumn-winter period.
