More than 80 tonnes of energy equipment provided by Iceland have been delivered from the warehouses of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine’s emergency energy assistance hubs to energy companies in the Ternopil, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv and Kirovohrad regions.

- As a result of hostilities and attacks on energy facilities, some consumers in the Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy and Kharkiv regions remain temporarily without electricity.

The European Union has provided an additional EUR 30 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, bringing its total contribution to the Fund to EUR 279 million. This was announced by First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal.

Thanks to contributions from international partners to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, several regions of Ukraine have received essential equipment worth nearly EUR 2 million to restore and strengthen energy infrastructure.

In July, the Ukraine Energy Support Fund received grant contributions from Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Iceland. The total amount of contributions reached EUR 180 million.

First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal said that, according to preliminary assessments, Ukraine’s power system successfully passed through a period of record August heat without the introduction of scheduled power outages.
