Ukraine has received a new shipment of technical assistance weighing over 50 tons to restore its energy infrastructure, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal reported.

According to him, six humanitarian shipments arrived in Ukraine from the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Finland, Spain, and Norway. They include power transformers, distribution cabinets, generators, lighting masts, and other equipment. On Friday, a shipment of energy equipment from the Czech Republic is expected, while 400 generators are en route to the capital from Poland. Aid from Austria is already on its way to the Ministry of Energy’s reserve hub.

“We are processing all requests promptly. Enterprises in the fuel and energy sector and critical infrastructure have already received 20 shipments — totaling 114 tons of equipment. All responsible parties have been tasked with quickly processing the received aid, as the speed of restoring electricity and heat to homes directly depends on it,” the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy stated.

Denys Shmyhal expressed gratitude to all partners helping Ukrainians get through this difficult winter.
