A meeting of the Headquarters for the Elimination of the Consequences of Emergencies in Kyiv and the Kyiv Region was held under the chairmanship of First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal.

Participants reviewed the current situation in the energy system of the capital and the Kyiv region, which remains extremely tense.

According to Denys Shmyhal, emergency power outages are still in effect in Kyiv. At the same time, energy companies have developed a number of technical solutions that will allow a transition from emergency outages to stricter but predictable schedules. The Minister of Energy instructed that this regime be implemented in the coming days.

“During the day, 160 repair crews worked to restore electricity and heat supply. At night, 52 crews will continue working on site. We must be prepared for any scenario,” Denys Shmyhal emphasized.

Regarding heat supply and social infrastructure, he noted that partial stabilization of heat generation has been achieved over the past few days. According to municipal data, 3,261 buildings in the city remain without heating.

Denys Shmyhal set a clear task for all services: to restore heat supply to as many homes as possible by tomorrow. Utility services are taking all necessary measures to achieve this goal.

“Currently, 124 generators of various capacities are operating at critical facilities across the city. In addition, 91 support points of the State Emergency Service have been deployed at 68 locations in Kyiv. Work to restore heat generation continues around the clock,” the Minister stated.
