Technical requirements for producers

Generating units are classified into four categories according to the voltage level at their connection point and their capacity, namely:

Type A – connection point voltage below 110 kV and capacity up to and including 1 MW;

Type B – connection point voltage below 110 kV and capacity from 1 MW up to and including 20 MW;

Type C – connection point voltage below 110 kV and capacity from 20 MW up to and including 75 MW;

Type D – connection point voltage of 110 kV or higher. A generating unit also falls under Type D if its connection point voltage is below 110 kV but its capacity is 75 MW or higher.

Technical requirements for generating installations are defined in Section III of the Transmission System Operator Code “Conditions and procedure for connection to the transmission system, technical requirements for electrical installations of power facilities.”
