Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Roman Andarak took part in a meeting between Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia Margus Tsahkna.
One of the key topics discussed was energy support for Ukraine amid ongoing Russian attacks. During the meeting, Margus Tsahkna confirmed Estonia’s readiness to participate in rebuilding Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
Ukrainian Energy Minister Svitlana Grynchuk spoke about the current situation in Ukraine’s energy system during a live broadcast of the “United News” national telethon.
“Energy workers continue to repair equipment to stabilize the situation in the energy system. Constant enemy shelling significantly complicates these efforts,” emphasized the Minister of Energy of Ukraine.
During the first 100 days of the government team led by Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko, the energy sector has remained focused on its core objectives: protecting energy infrastructure from enemy attacks, restoring damaged facilities, and strengthening cooperation with international partners to enhance Ukraine’s energy security amid the fourth winter of war.
Preparation for the Heating Season
Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Mykola Kolisnyk took part in the Ministerial Meeting of the Central and South-Eastern European Energy Connectivity (CESEC) Group, held in Bucharest.
The participants reviewed the achievements of ten years of cooperation under the CESEC initiative and outlined priority projects for further regional energy collaboration.
One of the key outcomes of the meeting was an agreement to introduce a discounted tariff for Route 1 of the Trans-Balkan Corridor, which will ensure cost-effective LNG supplies to Ukraine.
Ukrainian Energy Minister Svitlana Grynchuk held a meeting with Pantelis Alexandros Dimitrakopoulos, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Greece to Ukraine.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of Ukraine's energy system following recent large-scale Russian attacks, as well as the country’s urgent needs related to rapid repair work and maintaining adequate reserves of critical equipment.
Ukrainian Energy Minister Svitlana Grynchuk and German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action Katherina Reiche visited an energy infrastructure facility that had been damaged during recent Russian air strikes. During the visit, the parties discussed measures to enhance the physical protection of energy facilities and further German assistance in their restoration.
Ukrainian Minister of Energy Svitlana Grynchuk held a meeting with Jakob Granit, Director General of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).
During the meeting, the parties discussed further steps to enhance cooperation in restoring and reinforcing Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. The Minister provided an update on the state of the energy system following massive Russian attacks and emphasized the critical importance of collaboration with international partners on natural gas imports.

During the meeting, the parties discussed further areas of cooperation in the energy sector and additional steps to enhance the stability and resilience of Ukraine’s energy system. Germany announced that it will increase its contribution to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund by an additional EUR 60 million.
Ukrainian Energy Minister Svitlana Grynchuk participated in the Ukrainian Women’s Congress, which this year is being held under the slogan “The courage to be yourself.”
In her speech, the Minister shared the story of Svitlana Pikalo, a 46-year-old dispatcher from the emergency gas service in Chuhuiv, who died at her workplace on the first day of the full-scale invasion.

According to her, the sanctions imposed by the administration of former U.S. President Donald Trump on Russia’s energy sector represent the first significant step to compel the Russian Federation to come to the negotiating table. The measures targeted the two largest oil companies that sustain the Russian economy.
