The leadership of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine participated in a meeting of the Anti-Crisis Energy Headquarters on preparations for the autumn-winter period of 2025/26, chaired by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko.
The United Nations General Assembly in New York has supported a resolution initiated by Ukraine and a group of states entitled “Strengthening international cooperation and coordination of efforts to study, mitigate and minimize the consequences of the Chornobyl disaster.” The document was supported by 97 UN Member States, with 8 voting against and 39 abstaining.
The situation in the power system remains difficult but under control. Russia continues its daily attacks on generation facilities, transmission and distribution networks, as well as on gas infrastructure. During the night, the enemy targeted energy facilities in the Odesa and Poltava regions. Some facilities have already been re-energized. Restoration works are ongoing.
Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Mykola Kolisnyk met with Kristin Enstad, Counselor-Envoy of the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Ukraine. The parties reviewed the current progress of bilateral cooperation in the energy sector and identified priority areas for further strengthening Ukraine’s energy security amid Russia’s ongoing attacks.

Ukrainian energy companies are working around the clock to strengthen key energy facilities and to restore and modernize infrastructure. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a resolution “On measures to ensure electricity supply during the autumn–winter period of 2025/26.”
The situation in Ukraine’s power system remains challenging due to ongoing Russian shelling. As a result of the attacks, as of the morning, consumers in the Mykolaiv and Kharkiv regions remain without electricity. Emergency repair and restoration works are underway. At the same time, in a number of regions, compared to previous days, the situation is gradually improving.
The Government has approved a package of measures to ensure stable electricity supply to the population during the heating season. This was announced by the acting Minister of energy of Ukraine Artem Nekrasov during a live broadcast of the United News national telethon.
According to him, the current top priority is ensuring electricity supply to household consumers, especially in frontline regions where the burden on the power system is most acute.
By order of NPC Ukrenergo, emergency power outage schedules have been lifted in Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast. The situation allows a return to stabilization outage schedules.
At the same time, emergency power outages continue in most regions of the country by order of NPC Ukrenergo. The main reason for the tightened restrictions remains the consequences of previous massive missile and drone attacks by the enemy on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
