Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Roman Andarak held a meeting with Hans Das, eputy Director-General and Chief Operations Officer of the Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO) of the European Commission.

The key topic of the meeting was cooperation to provide effective assistance to Ukraine’s energy sector amid targeted russian attacks.

Under the coordination of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, JSC "Kharkivoblenergo" received five Isuzu brigade vehicles and one Iveco vehicle.

The transfer of special equipment took place within the framework of international cooperation on the provision of technical assistance between the Ministry of Energy and the Japan International Development Agency (JICA).
By the end of this year, the Japanese partners plan to provide additional equipment, including a manipulator tractor and five car towers.

Members of the G7+ Energy Coordination Group noted Ukraine’s progress in implementing reforms in the energy sector and reaffirmed their ongoing support and assistance in restoring Ukraine’s energy infrastructure with the focus on transitioning to a decentralized and sustainable energy system.

UK energy companies are interested in expanding their presence in Ukraine and participating in the restoration and development of the Ukrainian energy sector.

That was a subject of discussion at a meeting between Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Roman Andarak and Sarah Jones, Minister of State for Industry at the Department of Business and Trade, Department of Energy Security, UK Net Zero, and UK energy companies.

The cooperation between Ukraine and Poland in the energy sector proves the high level of solidarity between the two countries and is of strategic importance for ensuring the stability of the energy system of Ukraine, especially in the conditions of war and constant attacks on energy facilities.

Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Mykola Kolisnyk said this during his speech at the panel discussion "Ukraine - Poland: joint energy projects", which took place within the International Forum of Central and Eastern Europe VIA CARPATIA 2024 in Kyiv.

The parties discussed ways to deepen cooperation to strengthen the resilience of the Ukrainian energy system and rebuild the energy sector. Particular attention was paid to the prospects for implementing business projects.
