The Lithuanian delegation also included Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to Ukraine Inga Stanite-Tolochkiene, as well as members of relevant parliamentary committees.
Denys Shmyhal noted that Lithuania remains a true friend of Ukraine, prioritizing support since the beginning of russia’s invasion and providing essential assistance.
"We especially appreciate the assistance in the energy sector: 349 shipments weighing 5,900 tons. Hundreds of generators, thousands of solar panels, and other necessary equipment. In addition, Lithuania transferred dismantled equipment from the Vilnius Thermal Power Plant and the Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant for the needs of Ukraine's energy sector. This helped to repair damaged energy facilities and restore heat and electricity supply after the shelling," emphasized Denys Shmyhal.
The First Deputy Prime Minister informed partners about current priorities and urgent needs in the energy sector.
“Our task is to decentralize the energy system, strengthen protection, and develop cogeneration. We appreciate Lithuania's willingness to help,” he said.
