At the initiative of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Government has approved a resolution launching an experimental project to support employees of emergency repair and restoration crews who are currently restoring electricity, heat, and water supply to Ukrainian households and businesses.
This was announced by First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal.
“Each month from January through March 2026, these employees will receive state support in the form of an additional UAH 20,000. This applies to employees of enterprises of all forms of ownership in the fuel and energy sector, housing and utilities services, and Ukrzaliznytsia — from crew leaders to frontline specialists who are directly involved in restoration works,” Denys Shmyhal emphasized.
He noted that the support mechanism will be as simple, convenient, and digitalized as possible:
- creation of a Unified Register of enterprises performing restoration works;
- submission of online applications by these enterprises with lists of crew members;
- notification of each eligible employee via the Diia app or SMS of their entitlement to receive support;
- transfer of funds to existing bank accounts in the month following the completion of works.
Denys Shmyhal expressed gratitude to energy workers, heating and gas sector specialists, utility workers, railway employees, and everyone who is safeguarding critical infrastructure and strengthening Ukraine’s home front.
