The Development of Distributed Deneration is a Critically Important Component of the Energy System’s Resilience.

Minister of Energy Svitlana Grynchuk, together with the heads of energy sector enterprises and international partners, coordinated actions to accelerate the launch of new distributed generation facilities before the heating season. Its development is one of the priorities of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, as it is a tool for strengthening the resilience of the energy system amid constant attacks on infrastructure.

The Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Svitlana Grynchuk, held a meeting with the French delegation led by the Special Envoy of the President of France for Aid and Reconstruction of Ukraine, Pierre Heilbronn.

The parties discussed current Ukrainian-French projects in the development of electricity grids, nuclear and renewable energy, and the oil and gas sector, in particular regarding joint exploration and gas production in Ukraine.

Verkhovna Rada has appointed Svitlana Grynchuk as the new Minister of Energy of Ukraine.

“Energy is the foundation of the economy. That’s why our key task today is to ensure the country has the resources needed for life and work: light and heat for people, and energy for industry. There is no room for error,” the new head of the Ministry of Energy wrote on her Facebook page following the appointment.

German Galushchenko: The Energy Sector Became One of the Key Areas of this Year’s Ukraine Recovery Conference - URC 2025

As reported by the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, German Galushchenko, financial agreements in the energy sector were secured for more than €1.2 billion. These include the development of nuclear and hydropower generation, projects for oil and gas exploration and extraction, educational programs, and mechanisms for supporting and developing renewable energy sources, among others.

URC 2025: Ukraine Advances Nuclear Innovation Together with Holtec International

Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko, together with representatives of Energoatom, held a meeting with Holtec International’s leadership, on the sidelines of the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome (URC 2025). During the meeting, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at deepening cooperation in the deployment of advanced technologies for the development of Ukraine’s nuclear generation.

URC 2025: Ukraine Agrees on a New Stage of International Support for Its Energy Sector

On the sidelines of the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2025, an agreement was signed to strengthen the resilience and reliability of the energy system:

Ukrenergo and TERNA (Italy) agreed to exchange experience and implement advanced transmission system management technologies to accelerate adaptation to European standards. This is an important agreement for the strategic enhancement of cooperation between the two transmission system operators — both members of ENTSO-E.
