Minister of Energy of Ukraine Svitlana Grynchuk, together with Deputy Minister Mykola Kolisnyk and CEO of Naftogaz of Ukraine Serhiy Koretsky, took part in an event dedicated to Supplier Day.

This year’s event brought together more than 340 representatives of companies and enterprises cooperating with Naftogaz to support the stability of Ukraine’s energy system.

In her remarks, the Minister emphasized the crucial role of suppliers in safeguarding the country’s energy security, especially under wartime conditions.

As a result of five airstrikes with guided aerial bombs in the Donetsk region, facilities of coal industry enterprises were hit. A boiler house, administrative, and warehouse buildings sustained damage. The affected enterprises are currently non-operational.

According to preliminary reports, there are no casualties or injuries.

Minister of Energy of Ukraine Svitlana Grynchuk met with Chief Representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Ukraine Office, Mr. Osamu Hattori.

“I was pleased to welcome Mr. Osamu Hattori, Chief Representative of the JICA Ukraine Office, on his first visit to the Ministry of Energy following his appointment. We updated ongoing areas of cooperation with JICA and outlined new priorities,” the Minister wrote on her Facebook page.

The European Commission has recognized Ukraine’s consistent progress in implementing reforms and aligning national legislation with EU law in the energy sector. This was stated in the European Commission’s Report on Ukraine within the EU Enlargement Package 2025, published on November 4.

According to Section 15 “Energy” of the report, Ukraine’s level of preparedness in this area is rated “4 – good.”

Minister of Energy of Ukraine Svitlana Grynchuk took part in a meeting of Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko with ambassadors of NATO partner countries — Canada, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, the United States, and the United Kingdom — who paid their first joint visit to Ukraine.

Svitlana Grynchuk emphasized that a coordinated joint response with partners to Russia’s attacks is crucial to protecting Ukraine’s energy system.

Minister of Energy of Ukraine Svitlana Grynchuk took part in a meeting of the Anti-Crisis Energy Headquarters chaired by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

During the meeting with the heads of leading energy companies, participants reviewed the current state of the energy system, the progress of restoration works, infrastructure protection measures, and preparations for the heating season.

“The situation is challenging due to Russia’s massive attacks on critical energy infrastructure, but the system’s stability is being maintained. We are working to restore the energy system’s operation as quickly as possible, using new technologies and innovative solutions,” said Svitlana Grynchuk in an interview with the Canadian outlet The Globe and Mail during the G7 Energy and Environment Ministers’ Summit in Toronto.
