In Zaporizhzhia, under the chairmanship of Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko, a meeting of the Anti-Crisis Energy Headquarters was held. The session was attended by Vice Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine – Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba, Minister of Energy of Ukraine Svitlana Grynchuk, representatives of the Verkhovna Rada, energy companies, the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the State Service for Special Communications.

Ukraine Launches 200 MW Energy Storage System Complex

Ukraine has launched the largest energy storage system complex with a capacity of 200 MW, built by DTEK in partnership with the U.S. company Fluence Energy B.V.

The complex includes six facilities located in Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions, constructed in a record time of just one year. The project’s investment amounted to €125 million.

Overall, the system can store 400 MWh of electricity, enough to supply 600,000 households for two hours.

Minister of Energy of Ukraine Svitlana Grynchuk held a meeting with the Dutch delegation, led by Netherlands Deputy Minister for International Cooperation Pascal Hrotenhuis and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Ukraine, Alle Dorgaut.

“The Netherlands remain a reliable partner in supporting Ukraine’s energy sector. The country’s contributions to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund have already reached €65 million,” wrote Svitlana Grynchuk on her Facebook page.

Minister of Energy of Ukraine Svitlana Grynchuk held a meeting with the IMF mission, where they discussed the current situation in Ukraine’s energy system, preparations for the upcoming heating season, and the progress of reforms aimed at integration with the European Union.

The discussion also addressed recent Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. Svitlana Grynchuk briefed her counterparts on the ongoing work to rapidly repair and restore facilities, as well as Ukraine’s needs for strengthening their protection.
