This was highlighted by Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Roman Andarak during his online address at the meeting of the Nordic Council of Ministers on energy policy.

Enemy Shelling of Energy Facility in Slavutych Causes Blackout at Chornobyl NPP

A critical incident occurred at the facilities of the State Specialized Enterprise Chornobyl NPP in the town of Slavutych, Kyiv region, as a result of Russian shelling of energy infrastructure.

Due to voltage fluctuations, the New Safe Confinement – the key structure that isolates the destroyed fourth power unit of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant and prevents the release of radioactive materials into the environment – was left without electricity.

Specialists are currently carrying out work to restore power supply.

A new modern customer service center of JSC Cherkasyoblenergo has been opened in Cherkasy in accordance with the corporate standards of JSC Ukrainian Distribution Networks.

United Kingdom Increases Contribution to Ukraine Energy Support Fund to €150.6 Million

The United Kingdom is providing an extra €48.7 million to Ukraine Energy Support Fund, bringing its total contribution to €150.6 million.

The grant funds from this tranche will allow the implementation of a range of measures to strengthen Ukraine’s energy resilience, including the repair of critically important networks, protection of key energy assets, and support for renewable and decentralized energy solutions.
