First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal held a conversation with the Minister of Economy, Finance, Industry, Energy and Digital Sovereignty of France, Roland Lescure.

The Head of the Ministry of Energy informed his counterpart about the difficult situation in Ukraine’s energy sector resulting from Russia’s targeted attacks on civilian energy infrastructure facilities.

First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal held a meeting with the heads of trade union organizations of the fuel and energy sector.

The participants agreed on an action plan, primarily focused on strengthening the social protection of energy workers.

Ukraine has raised the issue of suspending Russia’s membership in the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). This was reported by First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal following an extraordinary meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors convened at Ukraine’s request.

“A state that deliberately undermines nuclear safety cannot fully participate in the Agency’s main policy-making body,” he emphasized.

- Restoration works at energy facilities are ongoing. In Kyiv and the Kyiv region, a capacity deficit persists. Since yesterday, the distribution system operator in the capital has been applying temporary schedules in accordance with the available volume of accessible capacity.

Under the chairmanship of First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal, a regular meeting of the Headquarters for the Elimination of the Consequences of Emergencies in Kyiv and the surrounding region was held.

First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal held a meeting with Julie S. Davis, Chargé d’Affaires of the United States in Ukraine.

During the meeting, Denys Shmyhal expressed his sincere gratitude to the United States for its substantial and consistent support to Ukraine’s energy sector. He emphasized that this assistance is critical for the restoration of energy infrastructure facilities, which continue to suffer daily damage as a result of Russian missile and drone attacks.

Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Anatoliy Kutsevol held a meeting with a Dutch delegation led by Alle Dorhout, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Ukraine.

During the meeting, the Deputy Minister briefed the delegation on the challenging situation in Ukraine’s energy sector caused by massive Russian attacks on critical energy infrastructure.

- As a result of further enemy shelling of energy infrastructure facilities, consumers remain without electricity in the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions. Emergency repair and restoration works are ongoing wherever the security situation allows.

- A capacity deficit persists in Kyiv and the Kyiv region. The distribution system operator in the capital is applying temporary schedules based on the available capacity. A return to stable, forecast hourly outage schedules will take place after the energy system stabilizes.

A regular meeting of the Headquarters for the Elimination of the Consequences of Emergencies in Kyiv and the Kyiv region was held under the chairmanship of First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal.
According to Denys Shmyhal, the capital is currently experiencing a power deficit. As of this evening, approximately 610,000 consumers in Kyiv remain without electricity.

First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal held a meeting to review the energy supply situation in the Kharkiv region. He heard reports from the Head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, the Head of Ukrenergo, Vitalii Zaichenko, and representatives of energy companies.

The Kharkiv region continues to suffer daily Russian shelling. Recently, an energy facility was damaged as a result of an attack. Denys Shmyhal noted that repair crews are working around the clock to restore electricity and heat as quickly as possible.
