The expansion of renewable energy capacities, particularly wind power plants, is a priority in the development of distributed generation and in enhancing Ukraine’s energy resilience.

This was emphasized by First Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Artem Nekrasov during the Ukrainian Wind Energy Forum 2025: “Rebuilding the country with the help of wind.”

The event is supported by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine and the European Wind Energy Association WindEurope. European Commissioner for Energy and Housing, Dan Jørgensen, also addressed the forum participants.

Minister of Energy of Ukraine Svitlana Grynchuk and Deputy Minister Roman Andarak held a meeting with a delegation of the Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations, headed by Director-General Maciej Popowski. They discussed countering the challenges faced by Ukraine’s energy sector in preparing for the heating season and regarding the intensified enemy attacks.

Deputy Minister of Energy for European Integration Olha Yukhymchuk, during the presentation of Ukraine’s National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP) in London, emphasized the significant investment potential of Ukrainian energy projects. She highlighted that there are currently broad opportunities to attract investment for the recovery and further development of Ukraine’s energy sector.

Under the coordination of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine and the Embassy of Finland in Ukraine, a working meeting took place between representatives of state-owned companies “Ukrenergo,” “Ukrhydroenergo,” the Market Operator, “Ukrainian Distribution Networks,” and the management of the Finnish energy company Cactos.

Minister of Energy of Ukraine Svitlana Grynchuk, during a working visit to Uzhhorod as part of a government delegation headed by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, took part in a series of strategically important meetings aimed at enhancing Ukraine’s energy resilience and European integration.

During a meeting with Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico and negotiations with Minister of Economy Denisa Sakova, Svitlana Grynchuk discussed specific steps to deepen bilateral cooperation.

Support for Ukraine’s European integration aspirations and assistance in preparing for the 2025–2026 heating season were the key topics of a series of bilateral meetings that Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Roman Andarak held with senior officials of EU member states and the European Commission during his working visit to Copenhagen, Denmark.

The final of the National Competition of Emergency Dispatch Service Teams marked the culmination of several stages of qualifying rounds, where teams from different regions demonstrated a high level of professional training.

The Congress gathered in Uzhhorod representatives of national and local authorities, as well as Ukraine’s international partners.

As President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted, the participation of European friends in the work of the Congress demonstrates how closely Ukraine’s domestic issues are linked with the country’s relations with the EU. Joint programs—defense, energy, and budgetary resilience—are working successfully. European institutions also interact directly with local communities.

In wartime conditions, renewable energy sources have become an important tool for ensuring the resilience and flexibility of Ukraine’s energy system. This was emphasized by Ukraine’s Minister of Energy Svitlana Grynchuk during a meeting with representatives of Ukrainian communities and international partners, which took place in Uzhhorod as part of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine.

Ukraine seeks to ensure the security, accessibility, and sustainability of its energy system through accelerated modernization and decarbonization of energy infrastructure, as well as integration into European energy markets. This was emphasized by Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Roman Andarak during his speech at the EU Energy Ministers’ meeting held in Copenhagen.
