From January to the end of April 2026, within the framework of the “Ray of Hope” project, 7 healthcare facilities have launched their own electricity generation, with solar power plants totaling 590 kW of installed capacity commissioned.
Work is currently ongoing at another 89 sites, with three of them at the final stage. A total of 126 healthcare facilities are at the stage of developing technical solutions.
The “Ray of Hope” programme is a joint initiative of the European Commission, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, implemented since March 2023 under the Ukraine Energy Support Fund mechanism and coordinated by the Energy Community Secretariat.
The programme aims to enhance the energy resilience of healthcare facilities by equipping them with solar panels, energy storage systems, and related equipment to ensure reliable electricity supply.
