Ukraine's Deputy Minister of Energy, Anatolii Korzun, held a meeting with a GIZ delegation led by Miriam Faulwetter, Director of the project "Just Transition of Coal Regions and Green Recovery of Ukraine's Energy Sector."

The key topic of the meeting was the continued support for coal regions in transitioning to more sustainable energy solutions to enhance energy security.

The parties discussed areas of cooperation to support the resilience of Ukraine's energy system under enemy attacks, particularly during the winter period.

Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Mykola Kolisnyk, during his speech at the panel discussion "Human Capital in the Energy Sector," held within the framework of the IV International Conference ReBuild Ukraine Construction & Energy, emphasized Ukraine's plans for the strategic transformation of its higher education system. The aim is to introduce specialized educational programs on climate-neutral technologies in energy and to develop specialized postgraduate courses in collaboration with national energy companies.

Ukrainian Minister of Energy German Galushchenko discussed with India’s Permanent Representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Shambhu Kumaran the issue of ensuring nuclear and radiation safety in Ukraine in the face of russian military aggression.

The meeting took place in Vienna, where the International Atomic Energy Agency’s Board of Governors is currently meeting.

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine and the Government of Japan, in coordination with the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, has delivered vitally important energy equipment to Kharkiv and Odesa to support critical infrastructure in these cities amid ongoing russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy systems. The handover ceremony took place in Kyiv on November 16.
