International Support and Protection of Energy Infrastructure: Priorities for Cooperation with Italy

Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Roman Andarak met with Davide La Cecilia, Special Representative of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Reconstruction and Sustainability of Ukraine.

Roman Andarak informed the Italian delegation about the current state of Ukraine’s energy sector following the recent overnight attacks on infrastructure. He noted that the enemy continues to deliberately target power generation facilities and substations; however, Ukrainian energy companies are managing to restore the system promptly after each strike.

The Ministry of Energy Has Developed Measures to Ensure Uninterrupted Fuel Supplies Amid Military Risks

The Ministry of Energy, chaired by Deputy Minister Mykola Kolisnyk, held a meeting dedicated to mechanisms for preventing fuel shortages, diversifying supply routes, and building strategic reserves in wartime conditions.

The meeting brought together representatives of the Ministry for Communities and Territorial Development, the Ministry of Finance, the State Customs Service, the Energy Customs Office, JSC Ukrzaliznytsia, Naftogaz Group, JSC Ukrtransnafta, JSC Ukrnafta, as well as commercial companies active on the petroleum products market.

Light of remembrance despite the darkness

Every year, on the fourth Saturday of November, Ukraine commemorates the millions of people who died during the Holodomor genocide of 1932–1933, as well as the mass, man-made famines of 1921–1923 and 1946–1947.

In 1932–1933, the communist totalitarian regime deliberately committed the crime of genocide against the Ukrainian people.
Today, in the 21st century, Russia — the successor of that regime — continues the policy of erasing Ukrainian identity.
