First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Energy of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal took part in a meeting between President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and German Federal Minister of Defence Boris Pistorius. During the meeting, the parties discussed Ukraine’s priorities in strengthening the protection of energy infrastructure.

A regular meeting of the Headquarters for Elimination of the Consequences of Emergencies in the Energy Sector was held under the chairmanship of First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Energy of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.

Government officials together with representatives of energy companies reviewed progress achieved in designated areas of work, analysed completed activities, and identified priority tasks for the coming period.

First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal delivered a lecture to students of Metropolia University of Applied Sciences in Finland, where he spoke about the challenges facing energy infrastructure during the full-scale war and Ukraine’s experience in ensuring the resilience of its energy system.

During his address, the Minister emphasized that under current conditions energy infrastructure has become one of the key strategic security assets.

Deputy Ministers of Energy of Ukraine Hanna Lihun and Andrii Chotchykov participated in the 8th meeting of the Coordination Committee of the Ukrainian-Danish Energy Partnership Programme (UDEPP). Representatives of the Danish Energy Agency, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark in Ukraine, the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NEURC), NPC Ukrenergo, the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine, and the Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine also took part in the event.

During a visit to Warsaw, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal held a meeting with Poland’s Minister of Energy, Miłosz Motyka.
