From January to mid-June 2026, 17 healthcare facilities launched their own electricity generation under the Ray of Hope project. The total installed capacity of commissioned solar power plants amounts to 1,650 kW.
Currently, an additional 100 facilities are at various stages of implementation, seven healthcare institutions are at the final stage of deployment, and 141 medical facilities are developing technical solutions.
The commissioning of 17 healthcare facilities was made possible through international support. In particular, 12 facilities were funded by Germany, while five were supported by Sweden.
The Ray of Hope programme is a joint initiative of the European Commission, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, implemented through the Ukraine Energy Support Fund and coordinated by the Energy Community Secretariat.
The programme aims to enhance the energy resilience of healthcare institutions by equipping them with solar panels, energy storage systems, and other equipment to ensure reliable electricity supply and uninterrupted operation even under challenging conditions.
