First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal, together with the Ministry of Energy team, visited an energy facility in Kyiv Region, where he reviewed the progress of restoration works and held a meeting with the facility’s management and representatives of energy companies.

During the meeting, participants discussed the provision of equipment required for repair works, the current needs of energy companies, and possible solutions to existing challenges. Particular attention was paid to building equipment reserves to enable a prompt response to potential challenges and accelerate the restoration of energy infrastructure in the event of further damage.

Denys Shmyhal instructed that requests concerning the equipment needs of enterprises be updated and submitted to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, as well as to the Ministry of Energy for further consideration.

The participants also discussed the progress of protective construction works and further steps to enhance the resilience of the facility. The Minister instructed the Kyiv Regional Military Administration to address issues related to securing financing and determining contracting entities for engineering and technical protection measures for critical energy infrastructure elements.

During the visit, Denys Shmyhal presented state awards to energy sector employees in recognition of their significant personal contribution to ensuring the stable operation of Ukraine’s power system and restoring energy infrastructure under martial law.
