The hourly outage schedule is not the only tool used to regulate the load level on the power system. In the event of major emergency outages and upon instruction from NPC “Ukrenergo,” distribution system operators are forced to increase the number of disconnected consumers and implement emergency outage schedules to further limit power consumption and ensure the balanced operation of the power system.
