“Certain Issues Regarding the Creation of a Strategic Natural Gas Reserve”

The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine announces the publication of the revised draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine titled “Certain Issues Regarding the Creation of a Strategic Natural Gas Reserve” (hereinafter – the Draft Resolution) on the official website of the Ministry of Energy at https://www.mev.gov.ua/ , under the Legislation section, Regulatory Acts subsection, folder Draft Regulatory Acts and Impact Assessment.

The Draft Resolution has been developed to approve the size of the strategic natural gas reserve to ensure reliable gas supply to consumers.

The Draft Resolution introduces a new approach to the formation of a strategic natural gas reserve for consumer needs.

It establishes the obligation for all natural gas suppliers to form a strategic reserve to guarantee reliable gas supply to consumers in the event of crisis situations in the Ukrainian natural gas market.
