On May 6 of the current year, the Order of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine dated April 13, 2022 № 148 came into force, which approved the Regulation on the peculiarities of electricity supply to consumers and settlements between participants of the retail electricity market during the period of martial law in Ukraine. This order is valid for the duration of martial law in Ukraine and thirty days after its termination or cancellation.
According to the provisions of the Regulation, in the event of termination of electricity supply by the previous supplier due to the supplier being assigned the status of "Defaulting" or the suspension of its electricity supply license, consumers are guaranteed the right to electricity supply under universal service conditions.
Those consumers who do not have an electricity supplier, during the period of martial law and within 30 days after its termination or cancellation (except in the case of changing the supplier at the initiative of the consumer), are supplied with electricity by SE “Ukrinterenergo”, which, according to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Order dated December 12, 2018 № 1023-р, was designated as the supplier of last resort until the end of 2022.
