On the sidelines of the Energy Platform at the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC2026) in Gdańsk, Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Valentyna Moskalenko held a series of bilateral meetings with international partners to discuss the attraction of technologies and investment for strengthening Ukraine’s energy resilience, modernizing the gas and nuclear sectors, and developing new generation capacity.

During her meeting with Baker Hughes, the parties discussed expanding technological cooperation in the oil and gas sector and increasing natural gas production in Ukraine. Valentyna Moskalenko highlighted the company's consistent support, including the supply of advanced drilling technologies, compressor equipment, and production optimization solutions, which have helped maintain stable domestic gas production despite wartime conditions. The parties also discussed modernization of Ukraine’s gas transmission system, as well as cooperation on decarbonization projects and innovative energy technologies.

In discussions with Électricité de France (EDF), the parties focused on implementing projects to modernize electricity transmission systems. A pilot project for Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo is scheduled to begin next year and will provide equipment for the rapid restoration of electricity networks, as well as a series of training programs for distribution system operators. The parties also explored opportunities to scale up the project and involve technical universities in its implementation.

Valentyna Moskalenko thanked the partners for their consistent support of Ukraine and their readiness to invest in the recovery and modernization of the country’s energy sector. She emphasized that cooperation with leading international companies remains an essential component of strengthening Ukraine’s energy security and advancing its integration into the European energy market.
