During the Energy Platform at the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC2026), Ukrhydroenergo signed a number of agreements with international partners aimed at implementing strategic projects for the recovery and development of Ukraine’s hydropower sector.
In particular, Ukrhydroenergo reached an agreement with the European Investment Bank (EIB) to secure advisory support under the "Support for the Stability and Recovery of Ukrhydroenergo" project. The cooperation предусматриває the engagement of an independent international consultant to oversee procurement procedures in line with international standards, contributing to the effective implementation of the project.
Ukrhydroenergo also signed a Memorandum of Understanding and a Confidentiality Agreement with Sweden’s development finance institution Swedfund International AB. The cooperation will focus on preparing strategic projects, including feasibility studies, energy storage initiatives, renewable energy integration, and measures to enhance the flexibility of Ukraine’s power system.
In addition, Ukrhydroenergo concluded a Memorandum of Cooperation and an Information Exchange Agreement with the Turkish company Doğuş İnşaat ve Ticaret A.Ş. These documents establish a framework for cooperation on major hydropower projects, including the construction of the Kaniv Pumped Storage Power Plant, the third stage of the Dnister Pumped Storage Power Plant, the restoration of the Kakhovka Hydropower Plant, and the modernization of the Dnister Hydropower Plant.
The implementation of these agreements will facilitate the attraction of international financing, advanced technologies, and expertise for the recovery and long-term development of Ukraine’s hydropower sector, while further strengthening the resilience of the country's energy system.
