The Government of the United Kingdom, in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, continues to implement the Innovate Ukraine initiative aimed at developing and restoring Ukraine’s energy sector by introducing modern technologies and innovative solutions in energy.
Starting from March 10, 2025, a new stage of the financial competition within the project will begin, with the goal of supporting and developing energy innovations that will contribute to Ukraine’s revival and restoration. Innovate Ukraine provides businesses with opportunities to develop highly innovative, sustainable energy technologies and business models that can directly support the recovery of Ukraine’s energy system. The Innovate Ukraine competition is open to participants from both the United Kingdom and abroad.
“The Ukrainian energy system has been resisting russian energy terror for three years. Every day, russia attacks our energy facilities, attempting to destroy our economy and break our resistance. The challenges we face drive us to build a new architecture for the energy system as we restore it now and in the post-war years. To successfully restore the energy sector, maintain energy security, and integrate into the EU, we seek to combine short-term solutions to overcome the energy crisis with long-term strategies, which include decarbonization, modernization of energy networks, and digitalization,” emphasized Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Roman Andarak.
The key areas in implementing these tasks include the development of distributed generation, nuclear generation, and renewable energy, as well as the introduction of modern technological solutions.
“Innovative Ukraine provides businesses with the opportunity to develop and implement exactly such solutions that will form the foundation for the sustainable operation of our country’s energy system and the introduction of the most advanced technologies in energy. We are open to cooperation with both Ukrainian and international companies—investing in Ukraine’s energy sector will benefit all parties. We thank our partners from the United Kingdom for the opportunities created within this project and for their continuous support,” noted Roman Andarak.
