Deputy Ministers of Energy of Ukraine Roman Andarak and Olga Yukhymchuk held a meeting with representatives of the Danish Energy Agency and the Embassy of Denmark in Ukraine within the framework of the Ukrainian-Danish Energy Partnership Programme (UDEPP).

The discussions focused on the results achieved under the current phase of cooperation and outlined future areas of joint work. The Danish side presented key outcomes in integrating renewable energy into the power system, advancing training and energy modeling, promoting distributed generation, and improving energy efficiency.

Particular attention was given to preparations for the next phase of the partnership, which will align with Ukraine’s priorities on its path toward European integration. “The partnership with Denmark is an example of how international cooperation strengthens Ukraine’s energy security and drives its development. This is an important step toward our shared goal of building a modern, reliable, and green energy system,” — said Olga Yukhymchuk.

Danish partners commended the high level of engagement demonstrated by the Ukrainian side in implementing joint projects and reaffirmed their commitment to continue supporting Ukraine’s energy sector.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for developing wind energy, simplifying licensing procedures for renewable energy projects, and organizing joint training courses and technical seminars for energy specialists.

“We are grateful to the Danish side for its consistent support of Ukraine’s energy sector, especially under the difficult conditions of war. Cooperation within the UDEPP helps us not only to restore infrastructure but also to build a foundation for the sector’s sustainable development,”— emphasized Roman Andarak.

The Ukrainian-Danish Energy Partnership Programme continues to create new opportunities to strengthen Ukraine’s energy security and advance the long-term development of the energy sector, even amid wartime challenges.
