During the Ministerial Meeting of the Partnership for Transatlantic Energy Cooperation (P-TEC), Naftogaz Group and Poland’s ORLEN signed an agreement for the supply of at least 300 million cubic meters of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the United States.
“We are grateful to our partners from the United States and Poland for their strong support in strengthening Ukraine’s energy resilience at a time when Russia continues its daily attacks on our energy and gas infrastructure,” said Svitlana Grynchuk, Minister of Energy of Ukraine.
According to the Minister, the signed memorandum is not only about meeting Ukraine’s immediate needs, but also opens new opportunities for long-term cooperation aimed at diversifying supply routes and enhancing Europe’s energy security with the support of the United States.
Minister Grynchuk expressed her sincere appreciation to Poland’s Minister of Energy Miłosz Motyka, U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright, and U.S. Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum for their constructive partnership and steadfast support for Ukraine.
