A Russian airstrike claimed the lives of two of our colleagues — energy workers in the Donetsk region. Just a few hours ago, Russian terrorists launched a guided aerial bomb at the territory of the Sloviansk Thermal Power Plant.
Tragically, as a result of this insidious attack, our colleagues Serhii Diachenko and Mykhailo Hryhoriev lost their lives. Five other employees of the plant sustained injuries. The strike also damaged equipment in the plant’s engineering and laboratory building.
Russia continues its deliberate terror against civilians and infrastructure, cynically targeting those who bring light.
The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine bows its head in mourning together with the families of the deceased. We share your grief and will never forget this sacrifice.
We wish the injured a swift and full recovery.
Light will inevitably overcome darkness. We will never forgive.
