Four years ago, on 11 September 2022, Russia launched its first massive attack on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. The attack claimed the lives of our colleagues who were performing their duties at energy facilities. This day marked the beginning of a new reality for the energy sector. Thousands of energy workers continue to work every day under attacks, in the aftermath of strikes and at damaged facilities.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 319 energy workers have been killed while performing their duties and at home. Another 1,813 of our colleagues have fallen on the frontline while defending Ukraine.
We remember each and every one of them.
We thank those who keep Ukraine’s energy sector running and defend our country every day.
Ukrainian light will inevitably prevail over Russian darkness!
