23 October 2025, 11:40

Minister of Energy of Ukraine Svitlana Grynchuk spoke live on the United News telethon about the current situation in the country’s power system.

According to her, as a result of the massive Russian attack on the night of October 22, energy companies have been forced to apply hourly power outage schedules in 12 regions of Ukraine. On October 23, restrictions will remain in place from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

“Depending on the pace of repairs and the restoration of equipment damaged during the attack, we will adjust the schedules accordingly,” the Minister noted.

Svitlana Grynchuk also reported that Russian forces once again targeted energy facilities, including in the Sumy, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kharkiv regions. Rescue teams of the State Emergency Service and energy repair crews are working on-site to promptly restore electricity supply.

“Practically every day, Russia continues its energy terror. Energy workers are working around the clock, and thanks to their dedication, Ukraine’s power system remains stable,” the Minister emphasized.
