As a result, emergency power outages have been introduced in several regions of Ukraine.
According to Minister of Energy Svitlana Grynchuk, as soon as the security situation allows, emergency services and energy workers will begin eliminating the consequences of the attack to restore power supply in the affected regions as quickly as possible. Emergency outages will be lifted once the situation in the power system stabilizes.
“I thank everyone who is doing everything possible to keep Ukrainians with light and heat – energy workers, rescuers of the State Emergency Service, and local utility teams. I urge everyone to remain calm and follow only official information. Despite the enemy’s intentions, Ukraine will have light and heat this winter,” the Minister emphasized.
