On the sidelines of the G7 Energy Ministers’ Meeting in Toronto, Minister of Energy of Ukraine Svitlana Grynchuk held a meeting with senior executives of leading Canadian energy and construction companies, energy equipment manufacturers, market operators, industry associations, and financial institutions.

The discussion focused on the urgent needs of Ukraine’s energy sector during wartime and on mechanisms through which Canadian companies can contribute to support efforts. Svitlana Grynchuk emphasized Ukraine’s openness to new formats of cooperation, including investment attraction and the development of innovative energy technologies.

Special attention was given to potential opportunities for implementing joint long-term projects. The parties agreed to continue their dialogue at the ReBuild Ukraine conference, where 25 Canadian companies are expected to participate.

The Minister noted that Ukraine already has positive experience cooperating with Canadian businesses in hydropower, the gas sector, advanced nuclear technologies, and infrastructure modernization using Canadian solutions and equipment. Ukraine remains open to all initiatives that strengthen its energy system.

Svitlana Grynchuk expressed her gratitude to the Canadian partners for a meaningful dialogue and for their strong interest in continued cooperation.
