Minister of Energy of Ukraine Svitlana Grynchuk began her work at the G7 Energy and Environment Ministers’ Summit taking place in Toronto, Canada. Over the next two days, a series of meetings and negotiations are planned to focus on strengthening global energy security.
“The central focus of the discussions is countering Russia’s energy terror. We are working on practical steps to enhance Ukraine’s energy resilience — assistance with equipment, increasing natural gas imports, and strengthening air defense systems,” the Minister noted.
Ukraine, together with international partners, continues efforts to ensure the stable operation of its energy system so that citizens have light and heat throughout the winter season.
