Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Roman Andarak, took part in the conference “Ukraine–Japan: Ukraine’s Economic Growth in the Context of War.” During his speech at a thematic panel, the Deputy Minister thanked the Government of Japan and the JICA agency for their comprehensive support of Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale aggression by the russian federation.
“Japan is one of the most committed partners of the Ukrainian people. From the first days of the full-scale aggression, the Government of Japan and the JICA agency provided critically important assistance—generators to support infrastructure, equipment for repairs, and means of physical protection for facilities. This solidarity is an example of true strategic partnership,” the Deputy Minister emphasized.
Roman Andarak also highlighted the importance of developing bilateral projects in the field of renewable energy, implementing European energy market rules, and attracting investment. This includes, in particular, the removal of import duties on energy equipment, the introduction of fast-track mechanisms for construction and grid connection.
Such steps are an important part of the transformation of Ukraine’s energy sector, aimed at its modernization and resilience.
