Repair Crews Receive Initial Payments under State Support Programme

28 February 2026, 12:02

The Government has commenced payments in the amount of UAH 20,000 to critical infrastructure workers involved in eliminating the consequences of Russian attacks. These include power engineers, gas sector workers, water supply and wastewater specialists, municipal utility workers, and railway employees — in total, more than 12,300 professionals.

All of them are operating under extremely challenging conditions and an intensified work regime to restore electricity, water, and heating to Ukrainian households. To support these workers, the Government has allocated UAH 246.4 million from the state budget reserve fund.

We express our sincere gratitude to power engineers, municipal workers, and railway employees for their exceptionally demanding and responsible work. After every attack, you are the first to return to the sites to restore normal life to cities, communities, and the country as a whole.
