In recent weeks, Russia has significantly intensified its attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. The enemy is deliberately targeting power lines and transformers, disrupting electricity supplies to consumers.

Energy workers are working around the clock to repair equipment as quickly as possible, stabilise the power system and restore electricity to Ukrainian homes.

However, amid the ongoing attacks, photos and videos from strike sites are appearing increasingly often on social media. Even a short video or a single photograph may reveal details that are valuable to the enemy, including the exact location of a strike, the damage sustained by a facility and the progress of repair work. This information could be used to adjust further attacks.

Sharing such material also poses serious risks to the workers restoring damaged infrastructure and may hinder their efforts.

We therefore urge the public not to film or publish images of strike sites, damaged facilities, the movements of repair crews or ongoing restoration work.

Please allow specialists to do their jobs without exposing them to additional risks.

Updates on the consequences of attacks and the state of the power system are published exclusively through official channels, with due care and without unnecessary detail.

Please rely only on verified sources and do not share material that could help the enemy.
