25 November 2025, 12:35

The Ministry of Energy, chaired by Deputy Minister Mykola Kolisnyk, held a meeting dedicated to mechanisms for preventing fuel shortages, diversifying supply routes, and building strategic reserves in wartime conditions.

The meeting brought together representatives of the Ministry for Communities and Territorial Development, the Ministry of Finance, the State Customs Service, the Energy Customs Office, JSC Ukrzaliznytsia, Naftogaz Group, JSC Ukrtransnafta, JSC Ukrnafta, as well as commercial companies active on the petroleum products market.

Participants noted that the enemy is intensifying hybrid attacks and threats, seeking to create artificial shortages by targeting port infrastructure and disrupting fuel deliveries through neighbouring markets. The discussion focused on countering hybrid and military threats through backup logistics routes, cooperation with international partners, security considerations, and technical aspects of forming the required petroleum product reserves under current military challenges.

Following the meeting, participants developed a set of proposals regarding the necessary decisions and regulatory acts required to achieve the outlined objectives.
