Following instructions from First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal, issued after a meeting of the Headquarters on the electricity supply situation in the Kherson region, and with the coordination of the Ministry of Energy, JSC Khersonoblenergo has received 46,500 litres of diesel fuel and will shortly receive a power transformer. The procurements were financed through the Ukraine Energy Support Fund.
In addition, 10 high-capacity diesel generators will shortly be delivered to the Kherson region from the warehouses of the Ministry of Energy’s emergency energy assistance hubs. The equipment will help provide backup power to critical facilities and maintain the stable operation of the region’s energy infrastructure amid continued Russian attacks.
At the same time, the Ministry of Energy is currently processing the Kherson region’s requests for other critically needed energy equipment in order to facilitate the restoration of the region’s energy infrastructure as quickly as possible.
Kherson region remains one of the priority areas for support. Systematic assistance to the region’s energy workers contributes to the resilience of the energy system and the reliability of electricity supply to communities operating under a persistent threat.
We thank our international partners for their support and Ukrainian energy workers for their daily efforts under extremely dangerous conditions.
