Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Roman Andarak, held a meeting with representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to discuss the continuation of cooperation under the technical assistance project aimed at supporting Ukraine's energy sector.

The discussion focused on the current state of the energy system, existing mechanisms for supporting the population, and the development of a roadmap for further implementation.

Particular attention was given to the importance of coordinated cooperation with specialists from the Ministry of Energy and other relevant agencies in collecting necessary data and preparing analytical materials. This collaboration will help develop practical recommendations to enhance the functioning of the energy sector and improve the efficiency of state support for citizens.

Roman Andarak emphasized the critical role of IMF cooperation in maintaining energy stability and ensuring the effective operation of the sector amid wartime challenges and extensive infrastructure damage.

“We are grateful to the IMF for its readiness to support Ukraine in strengthening its energy system and developing practical solutions to ensure the sector's effective functioning, even under the difficult conditions of war,” he stated.

The parties also agreed on priority areas for further cooperation, including ensuring the stability of Ukraine’s energy system and optimizing state support for the population during wartime.
