The Eighth Militarized Mine Rescue Unit of the State Militarized Mine Rescue Service for the Coal Industry has received a fire engine as humanitarian assistance from the charitable organization Ukrainian FireFighters Foundation.
The unit brings together specialists who carry out emergency rescue operations in mines, at industrial facilities, and in other high-risk environments. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, its personnel have been actively involved in responding to the consequences of Russian attacks, clearing debris, and assisting affected communities.
The donated vehicle will strengthen the unit’s capacity to ensure the safety of coal industry workers, respond to emergencies at mining sites, and mitigate the consequences of incidents affecting energy infrastructure facilities.
The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine expresses its gratitude to the Ukrainian FireFighters Foundation and international partners for their support of Ukraine’s energy sector and for helping enhance the technical capabilities of mine rescue units.
