In March, the Ukraine Energy Support Fund received grant contributions totaling EUR 3.2 million from Iceland and Slovenia.
Additionally, grant agreements were signed and new donor commitments announced during the month. Expected contributions include EUR 12.5 million from Canada, EUR 10 million from the European Commission, EUR 5.4 million from Denmark, EUR 4.8 million from Germany, and EUR 1.5 million from Croatia.
Further pledges were announced by the United Kingdom (EUR 57.9 million), Italy (EUR 10 million), and the Province of Alberta, Canada (EUR 155,000).
Under the Fund’s mechanism, contracts worth approximately EUR 41.7 million were signed in March for the supply of critically needed equipment. This includes equipment for substation modernization, power generation, and gas infrastructure, such as pipeline fittings, high-voltage electrical equipment, cable products, batteries, restoration materials, and personal protective equipment.
At the same time, equipment valued at approximately EUR 11.5 million was delivered under previously signed contracts. Delivered items included diagnostic systems and transformer materials to support the stable operation of generation facilities and the monitoring of energy equipment.
In total, the Ukraine Energy Support Fund has received nearly EUR 1.854 billion in grant financing from 37 donors, including 26 partner countries and 3 international organizations.
