Lithuanian electricity transmission system operator Litgrid has provided Ukraine with a new batch of equipment to support the restoration of the national energy system. The assistance was collected from various regions across Lithuania and successfully delivered to Ukraine.
The shipment includes critical components needed for the repair of substations and power transmission lines, which will enhance the stability and resilience of the energy system. The equipment will be used for urgent restoration works on damaged networks.
The continued supply of such equipment enables Ukrainian energy companies to accelerate network recovery and ensure a stable electricity supply for consumers.
This is already the sixth aid package delivered by Litgrid to Ukraine. Previous shipments included autotransformers and other essential transmission system components such as circuit breakers, disconnectors, current and voltage transformers, surge arresters, insulators, relay protection and automation devices, as well as other materials required to strengthen Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine expresses its sincere gratitude to the Republic of Lithuania, the European Commission, and all international partners for their sustained support and valuable contribution to enhancing the resilience of Ukraine’s energy system.
