Canada has announced a new contribution of €12.4 million to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine. The country’s total contribution to the Fund now amounts to €44.6 million.

The funds will be directed toward the procurement and delivery of energy equipment for Ukrainian energy companies to support the restoration of infrastructure damaged by Russian attacks.

“I am grateful to the Government of Canada for its consistent support of Ukraine’s energy sector. At a time of ongoing attacks on generation facilities and power grids, such assistance enables us to promptly restore infrastructure and prepare for the upcoming heating seasons,” said First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal.
