As part of the international Rebuild Ukraine 2024 conference, Ukraine’s Minister of Energy, German Galushchenko, met with representatives of the International Finance Corporation (IFC). The meeting was attended by IFC’s Regional Manager for Ukraine, Lisa Kestner, and Senior Energy Investment Officer, Elleanor Robins.

It was particularly emphasised on the potential for renewable energy development, specifically wind and solar power generation.

The Minister briefed IFC representatives on recent decisions made by the Ukrainian Government to promote consumer energy independence, including measures related to deregulation and the availability of accessible financial tools for installing autonomous electricity generation sources.

Additionally, the parties explored collaboration opportunities to attract investments in projects that will foster the development of energy storage systems.

IFC representatives reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Ukraine's energy sector, particularly in the recovery and development of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
