As part of the international conference Rebuild Ukraine 2024 in Warsaw, the Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko held a meeting with the Minister of Energy of Lithuania Dainius Kreivys.
The head of the Ministry of Energy thanked international partners, in particular Lithuania, for the help they have provided to the Ukrainian energy sector since the first days of the full-scale russian invasion.
"This year we had a very successful campaign, we managed to repair a large part of the 9 GW capacity that was damaged by the russian attacks. An important role was played, in particular, by the equipment provided to us by our partners," said German Galushchenko.
The parties also discussed the delivery of the third powerful transformer to Ukraine, which, according to the agreement between German Galushchenko and Dainius Kreivys, the Lithuanian side will transfer for the needs of the Ukrainian energy sector.
Since March 2022, Ukraine has received 159 shipments of humanitarian aid from Lithuania with a total weight of more than 2,824 tons, including transformers, backup power plants, solar panels, thermal energy equipment and other energy equipment.
In total, since the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion in Ukraine, 1,486 shipments of international aid weighing more than 19,682.6 tons have arrived from 36 countries.
