Ukraine calls for more radical measures against the aggressor country russia because of its attempts to provoke a radiation accident by attacking substations critical to the operation of nuclear power plants.

"It is necessary to take more radical measures against russia. Otherwise, it just looks like a waste of time. After the IAEA noted the importance of these stations, the level of attacks is increasing. Another wave of massive attacks only confirms the seriousness of the situation," the Minister of Energy German Galushchenko said at a meeting with the Ambassadors of the European Union in Vienna (Austria).

On November 17, the aggressor purposefully attacked critical substations, which, according to the official conclusion of the IAEA, are crucial for the safety of the nuclear power plant.

"Blackout or emergency shutdown of nuclear power plants is their main priority. Therefore, the risks of any nuclear accident are incredibly high," the Minister of Energy told representatives of European countries.

Thanks to the air defense forces and the concerted actions of Ukrainian energy workers, the catastrophic scenario was avoided. However, russia does not stop trying to destroy infrastructure critical to nuclear energy.

The Minister of Energy also reported the details of this morning's shelling, as a result of which the russian-occupied Zaporizhia NPP was on the verge of blackout for the second time in a week.
