The relevant funding was allocated from the reserve fund of the State Budget within the framework of the state support programme for employees involved in emergency restoration works.

From January to March 2026, energy workers received additional monthly payments of UAH 20,000.

“In total, UAH 793 million was allocated from the reserve fund of the State Budget to provide additional payments to all workers engaged in emergency restoration efforts. These include energy workers, gas sector employees, water supply and wastewater specialists, utility workers, and railway personnel. We are grateful to every one of them for their daily work, resilience, and efforts to restore electricity to Ukrainian homes,” stated First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Energy of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.

In January, the total amount of state support reached UAH 252 million, including nearly UAH 156 million allocated to energy companies. In February, the amount totalled UAH 298 million, of which almost UAH 196 million was directed to energy workers. In March, nearly UAH 243 million was allocated, including more than UAH 183 million for the energy sector.

We express our gratitude to energy workers, utility service employees, and railway personnel for their daily efforts, resilience, and dedication in restoring electricity and heating to Ukrainian households. The state continues to provide systematic support to those who work every day under extremely challenging conditions — often under shelling and in a constant state of operational readiness — restoring critical infrastructure.
