The challenges of wartime present international businesses with opportunities to prepare and implement energy investment projects capable of proving their efficiency in extraordinary conditions.

This was emphasized by the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, German Galushchenko, during a meeting with businesses at the 7th Ukrainian-German Economic Forum held in Berlin.

He noted that amidst unprecedented enemy attacks on energy infrastructure facilities, Ukraine's energy sector is undergoing transformation and adopting modern technologies. Ukraine is also working on developing distributed generation to enhance the flexibility of its energy system and improve the energy resilience of its regions. This creates new opportunities for collaboration. Within these initiatives, energy equipment from renowned global manufacturers is being installed.

In addition, renewable energy projects are being implemented at an accelerated pace, supported by financial programs developed by the Government of Ukraine, the adoption of regulatory acts, and simplified permitting procedures.

The Government of Ukraine remains open to new ideas and business initiatives that promote the development of business cooperation.

The Minister emphasized that Ukraine requires a large number of skilled personnel to implement these projects and attract investments.

"Rebuilding Ukraine's energy sector is both a tremendous challenge and an unprecedented opportunity. Our commitment is to establish a resilient and secure energy system built to EU standards and leveraging advanced international expertise, as outlined in our Energy Strategy. The involvement of European businesses in the restoration of Ukraine's energy sector is already a strong starting point for participation in the country's post-victory reconstruction," the Minister concluded, addressing the business community.
