Ukrainian energy workers are continuing their round-the-clock efforts to eliminate the consequences of massive enemy attacks on energy infrastructure. However, due to extensive destruction, it remains difficult to provide precise forecasts for full restoration, Minister of Energy of Ukraine Svitlana Grynchuk said during the United News national telethon.

“Work continues 24/7. Compared to other countries, Ukrainian energy workers are operating at record speed. We are trying to find unconventional solutions to ease the situation, but it remains truly difficult,” the Minister stated.

According to her, the situation is particularly challenging in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Odesa regions.

The Minister reported that generation and power transmission facilities were damaged as a result of the attacks.

She also noted that scheduled hourly power restrictions are currently in place across Ukraine and will be gradually lifted as equipment and networks are restored. “How the situation with restrictions develops will depend on how quickly we can complete the repairs,” added Svitlana Grynchuk.
